About the 2021 Vintage:
“The wine gives and our palates lay down, receive this effortless elixir and allow it to pass on through, no questions asked, no wondering why… Easy enough in the tart citrus vein, no lacking for energy and in turn, our interest. Weird? No not really. Cool? Ticks all the boxes for what the kids are all making these days, but this is more a case of being made by and for kids at heart who are adults with kids of their own. Well that just about wraps it up in a big natural bow and guarantees a good time.”
For 2022: A Wild-ferment, Unfiltered Orange Spritz!
Fresh oranges dusted with icing sugar and sweet pine aromatics. Light and delicate orange flavours with a zippy tannic palate.
2022 was a lovely growing season. Starting later than normal, the season quickly caught up with lots of hot, sunny days. Rain arrived when needed for the first part of the season, but dried up, stressing the plants a little towards the end of August. The fall was beautiful with warm days and cool nights. 2022 is one to remember.
A blend of 66% Riesling, 15% Viognier, 7% Muscat and 6% Sauvignon Blanc, fermented on their skins, pressed and bottled just at the very end of fermentation. Each variety was fermented separately, with the Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc completing fermentation and pressing prior to the Riesling harvest. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with 10ppm added sulphur.
